Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island shortly before the end of her final year in junior high school. Her sister is younger of Gregory, and has an older brother named Evan. At the age of 9 till 16, she started being involved in the business of entertainment through acting. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors who received such training. Her first performance came with Beverly Hills 90210. This meant she had to move out into Los Angeles. The role was as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she was able to perform almost every stunt herself, and established herself as a talented actress. Her agent was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to secure a regular spot on Friends.
